They hushed up and approved my EAD in 20 days. Why ???? 'cos So they don't hit Jun'30 and give 2 years. They wanted to milk another 680 from me so they hushed up and sent me the 1 year EAD in 20 days.

Please provide good reasons to purse EB3 to EB2 thru another company. I am not getting enough motivation or strong points to port from EB3 to EB2. Please provide serious input. I will definetly purse new job for porting.
Some of the reasons in my mind to go for EB2 thru new job:
1. Immigration freedom (like financial freedom)
2. All new and old eb2 filers are going to get green card before me. I am not jelous about them if I have filed my case recently. But my filing happend 7 years back. So, I should really think about it but not in terms of jealous.. it could be shame on my part...
3. Immigration rules and regulation fluctuations..
4. Early GC means, early citizenship. Chance to survive here in Federal, Navy, Army IT jobs with security clearnace if get citizenship early. Otherwise, govt. sector will also be saturated. My position is taken away just because of not gettting early GC.. Too much think ah!!

1. Unneccearily touching the immigration process one more time and is kind of risky when INS dig deep into and do micro auditing the old and new filings. Though my case is strong,, they some time create tensions... you know what I am talking about..

3. After spending lot of years in North East winter weather, I moved to NC. Good place in terms of everything. If I start looking for job, not sure whether I get here or somewhere in cold.
Unable to decide about porting. Please provide your serious input so that I get good motivation. I have MS and have excellent skills in J2EE/WebSphere world. Not able to buy home due this EB3/EB2 porting in my mind. Because location change may happen if I decided to go for porting and place change happens due to that. And also not sure whether I need to look for Desi employer or corporate. I am with corporate now.. decade.

- FB immigration will be put in preference over EB, we are screwed.

- CIR is back. 13 millions illegals will get in line. points based system for EB immigration and we are all screwed again.
- if McCain does not live through his presidency, the biggest country and economy in the world, with the largest number of nuclear weapons, the largest amount of military spending... the rome of our time, with nearly unlimited power and presence around teh world, will be run by a mayor of a small town. Rember her trying to get her brother-in-law police officer fired during her sisters divorce? And when the administrator refused her requests, he fired him? Remember how she emails people off-the-record from her Yahoo account? Remember how she CC's her husband on official emails? Do you want someone that stupid, who already abused whatever little powers a mayor and governor has, to be the commander-in-chief of the united states armed forces?
Either way immigration-wise we are screwed. I think for the sake of the rest of the world we must wish that this time McCain loses this election. He has made a very stupid VP choice.
Obama is no panacea either. Why do you think someone with little experience is a liability to be second in command, but the same lack of experience is admirable quality for the first in command.
Also, Obama has been changing his positions on issues to pander to the voters, I doubt he will be any different from Bush either. The only change you are going to see is in himself -- not the way things are done. He will probably pay more of the tax monies to people who gambled with their houses (and are still not being punished for it).

I agree..calling USCIS customer service doesn't make any sense.They are all front desk people who have no clue of what's happening inside.
Of course it makes sense, that is why they are called "Customer Service". Continuing to call them at this time when we know they know NOTHING doesn't make sense. But it sure is funny to hear the crap they have to say:D

Look, i sympathize with you but you SHOULD HAVE poured in some money to start a parallel PERM application ..... PERM started from APR 2005 - you got almost 2 years +
My case is also like you but my Labor was 2 years old and applied just
before PERM and it went straightway to Phily Backlog center ... I thought
of applying for a Parallel PERM but mine was a RIR ( quicker) and Phily was saying that they would clear all Backog by SEP 2007 ( another 2 months)

I think we could have used some popular tactics to ensure larger attendance in the rally. If the core knew that people like Sheela Murthy and Greg Siskind would be joining the rallly, they should have let everybody know in advance. some people would have attended just to see those big names in person.
I know it's all about ideology and you can say we don't need people who don't want to come for the cause, but looking at what other anti-immigration groups are resorting to, it wouldn't have been a bad idea.

Does the SKILL bill help persons who have already completed their masters or will it also help those who are pursuing their MBA/MS? (i.e if SKILL is implemented)

Fragomen Website talks about the bill and the amendment to the bill to reinstate most of the SKIL bill provisions. Perhaps, this amendment will be considered in the senate.
