Bush is visiting Csico, San Jose. There is a huge EB community in Cisco afftected by retro. I talked to my friend there and he said guys were planning to ask one question about this to Bush. Apparently ther was lot of activity around this . Any update guys ? Any one from Cisco pls respond

Hi,
I just got back word from my lawyer saying that you shld be able to work with an expired EAD as USCIS would "backdate extensions of work authorisation" (provided of course that you have applied for the extension).
(I have been trying to upload the pdf, but can't seem to get it.
It's saved as a pdf on my local drive and am using the attachment icon provided, any help would be appreciated).

I know there are have been many nays on this subject and have asked my lawyer to provide more substantial proof (any memos or publications by USCIS).

Any comments on this?

My I-94 extension (for L1B visa) was denied on Oct '08 and I returned in 4 days after they updated Denial status. Reason for denail is "lack of specialized knowledge". I am planning to apply for L1B again in next month (By showing additional certification). Can you please advice me

- is it fine to apply for visa again as it will be more then 6 months after it was denied

- Do I need to show the copy of denial notice during visa interview? Is there any thread available providing suggestions for those applying for visa again after it was denied earlier...

i got ead(secondary person) yestesday.and also i applied H1 B which got approved 1 week back and i want to take SSN. so my question is with
what(H1B or EAD) i should apply for SSN). Do i need to apply SSN with EAD or H1 B? which one will be better ? please let me know.

The AC21 determination of whether a new job is in "the same or similar occupation" is made based on a comparison of the new job duties and those set forth on the original labor certification application. Job titles are not controlling. So, you need to have a copy of your original LC application and then compare the job description it contains to the duties of the new position.

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. Does the published cumulative demand data represent

a) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants and their dependents
OR
b) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants only?

If say, the demand data for EB3, till 2004 says 35,000 - does this mean there are a total of 35,000 pending cases in total OR does this represent primary applicants only?

If it represents primary applicants only, what is the multiplication factor we need to use to get an approximate number for total pending 485 cases?
