Hi All,

I have a simple question.

I have my I-140 approved with some kind of receipt number.

My lawyer filed my I-485 and it reached NSC on Aug 9, 2007.

I have not recd. any I-485 receipt notice or number yet.

Can i still track my I-485 progress using my I-140 receipt number on

the USCIS website somehow ?

I'm going to India and is planning to get my h1 visa stamped...

How are stamping scenarios these days at Chennai?..esp"lly due to PIMS stuff...

I have followed lot of discussions around H1 stamping and people got struck for weeks/months in India due to PIMS and other issues..

Is it advisable to go for H1 stamping as i'm into 7 th year of extension and I can't afford getting stuck in India for more than the granted period of vacation...I have approved AP documents handy and can use them while coming back to US...

Can someone pls advise me on this?

I received RFE letter from USCIS for missing TB skin test result in the medical reports.I took TB skin test in 2007 and came out negative.Here is the test of RFE

"your application contained form I-693 in which the required TB skin test was not conducted. Please note there may be conflicting information on some published form I-693 instructions regarding when the chest X ray Report should be performed. It is required only when the TB skin test indicates a reaction equal to greater than 5 mm, or when the reason for why the TB skin test is medically inappropriate to perform has been annotated on theform I-693. Please submit a newly completed form I-693 indicating the results of the required skin test."

After consulting the doctor concerned, she filled up new I-693 form with 2007 test results and provide me I-69e form in a sealed envelop. Can you please let me know whether 2007 TB skin test results will be acceptible to USCIS or do I need to do another TB skin test? Please Help.

Hi all,

Mine is Labor Substitution with EB2 India PD is April 2005 and with the same Employer since 5 years .

6 months back my case was moved to New York (I am working in NY as a consultant ) regional center where I am working now.


I have to move to NCarolina this month end for a new assignment. What should I do now?
If I inform USCIS thru AR-11, how much time they take to transfer my case to new regional office? Worried if they take long time and dates retrogress before they transfer.
How early can I apply AR-11 and how late I must inform them?

Anybody with similar experiences? Pleas suggest me the due course of action.

I would like to apply for the H1B Visa. For the same, I would like to clarify whether I am eligible with the following education background (Basically I am looking for the 16Yrs education criteria)

1) Did schooling up to 10th (10 Yrs)
2) Did Diploma (3 Yrs, Full Time)
3) Total IT work experience is 9.10 Yrs
4) Did B.S ( Bachelor of Science -- 3Yrs - Work Integrated Course/Distance Edu)
5) Did M.S (Master of Science -- 2Yrs - Work Integrated Course/Distance Edu)

Please let me know whether I am eligible.

Greetings,
please advise what steps should be taken if I recieved the NL letter from KCC that I am selected for 2011 DV lottery.

I am in AOS in EB3 category, my H1B already expired, working on EAD.

My case number from DV lottery is very high (29***).
What should I choose - CP or AOS???
Should I fill and return back to KCC both forms - DSP-122 and DS-230 forms??? :confused:

There are basically two big camps in the immigration reform debate and each has subsidiary interests that diverge in important respects from the bigger grou[. There is the pro-immigration camp which generally favors immigration reform proposals introduced over the last few years. Within the pro-immigration camp, there is the labor left which is in favor of legalization but balks at provisions that would provide temporary or permanent visas to workers that might come in the future. In the anti-immigration camp, there is the major group which opposes any form of legalization and is of mixed thinking on future worker provisions....

Enrique's Journey (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5225180) is a very powerful book written by an LA Times journalist about illegal migrants who take the Tren de los muertos, or the Train of the Dead to get to the US.

Will it be the kind of book, like 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Tom's_Cabin) to shake the conscience of a country to generate true Immigration reform? Will it move the likes of even politicians, who have no conscience, and get Immigration Reform accomplished?

I hope so. I had tears all through while reading the excerpts from the book, and hearing Sonia Nazario on NPR today.

As a disclaimer, this is my personal opinion - IV has no position on the issue of illegal immigration.
